Friday March 30th // Sunset 7.50pm // Moonrise 7.08pm
Our Full Moon Yoga Hikes take place the Friday closest to the full moon each month. We start with a .5 mile hike up to Craggy Gardens to enjoy the sunset. As the full moon rises in the night sky, we join together for a gentle lunar practice, learning to flow and tap into the subtle energy of this moon phase. We'll sip hot tea after our class and hike down with new friends under the light of the full moon. Times are dependent on the sunset and moonrise, with events normally lasting around 2.5 hours.
**Suggested donation $20, please pay what you can afford - all are welcome!
(Includes yoga and hiking, hot tea, mats + blankets, and professional photos)
March: Worm Moon
As temperatures warm, earthworm casts begin to appear and birds begin finding food. It's also known as Sap Moon, Crow Moon and Lenten Moon.
There will be two moons this March, one at the start of the month and one at the end. The second moon of the month is called a blue moon.
The second moon of the month is important because it is used to fix the date of Easter, which is always the Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox. This year, that moon appears on Saturday March 31, which means Easter Sunday falls the day after, on April 1.
